Insert battery into data collection device. Power on the device. You will see a screen that looks like the picture below. Notice the bottom row lists the date, time, collection count and battery level. Check to be sure that the battery is fully charged as shown above. From the main screen hit the following buttons in order. Connect the power adapter to the cradle and plug it into an AC outlet. Open Internet Explorer and go to the following link to download the necessary drivers.

Another window will pop up saying that the drivers installed correctly. On your CipherLab physical inventory scanner, select option 1- Collect. Scan one or two existing inventory items for testing purposes only.

Enter the quantity, click the Enter button to return. When finished, place the scanner back in the cradle. On your CipherLab physical inventory scanner, select option 2 — Upload and keep the scanner in the cradle. You will now be presented with the Hardware Setup Wizard.
