We are upgrading our web server Currently it is on Server Ent. We are trying to decide if we should put R2 Ent. Most of our servers are , with a couple s sprinkled in, so we don't have much experience with anything else. Would there be any reason to not use ? The web guys wanted for newer IIS. This server will only be running our website, which gets some decent traffic but we aren't overloading anything currently.

At this stage unless there is a real need for I would be deploying just because it is the more current OS so will be under support for longer. If you don't already have any machines yet though I would suggest spinning up a VM and doing some tests to make sure your sites work on under it, this should let you gain a bit of confidence working with lots of menus have changed location etc.
